Summary
Peshwari Physician, Dr Jahanshir Langah, is both effortlessly handsome and beholden of a compelling bedside manner and these qualities serve to make the good Doctor a popular and calming presence aboard the USS Valley Forge.
With extensive field experience in Humanitarian relief operations and Trauma medicine, Dr Langah is an excellent fit to serve aboard an Excelsior class vessel and his ready wit and warm, engaging personality quickly endears Jahanshir to the most resistant of patients.
Raised in a large family and entirely at ease with communities like a ship’s crew, Dr Langah’s abiding passion is for the complex and impenetrable sport of Cricket, a rarified pastime that he will hold forth on at great length, should anybody be foolish enough to raise it socially.
Appearance
In his mid – 30’s, Jahanshir is of Pakistani origin and possessed of an effortlessly good look, which he seemingly is unaware of. A keen cricketer, he is fit and carries himself easily and as a physician is well – kempt – but not to the point of fastidiousness.
Personality
Dr Jahanshir Langah is one of those rare people that appear to possess an innate font of patience, indeed – no one he has ever served with can ever recall seeing the Doctor lose his patience even once.
Jahanshir exhibits a genuine humanitarian worldview and holds all life sacred. He is warm and engaging, at ease with people socially and is well liked by the ship’s crew.
A family man, Jahanshir is married with a wife and three young children – all who reside aboard Starbase 72. Whilst service aboard the USS Valley Forge means that he is not away for protracted periods of time, Jahanshir would welcome a posting aboard a larger vessel, such as a Galaxy or Odessey – class explorer, where his family could join him.
A practicing, but not overly devout Muslim, Jahanshir believes that there is enough space in the Universe for both Spiritualism and Science to co – exist and that (at a certain point) both become indivisible.
