Tal'kor

Tal’kor Son of Bur’ak, member of House Zor’Vek, is the First Officer of the IKS Y’tem. He has served under the command of L’rena Daughter of Beltor for decades. He is fiercely loyal to his Captain, though remains unhappy of their new ‘exchange’ to support Starfleet. While he understands the chancellor wanting to improve relations between the two powers he believes there is a better use for such a storied warship of the Empire.

Tal’kor is a traditional Klingon, he demonstrates his honour in its practical form. Where his commanding officer is strategic, Tal’kor, is decisive and visibly present on the battlefield. He turns his commander’s ideas and strategies into action, ensuring that ideas are executed cleanly. He and L’rena may be opposites in this sense, but their synergy is second to none; L’rena defines the requirements, and Tal’kor ensures the crew knows how to make them happen.

He respects Klingon customs deeply and expects them to be upheld. However, he has been known to adapt those traditions when the situation needs it.  He is reserved, though not so much as to be known as cold. He rarely offers praise, but when he does, it carries exceptional weight.

Tal’kor is above all else a central cog in the Y’tem’s command structure. Where others may seek glory in his position, he seeks completion. The moment when a situation is resolved to its fullest effect.
