Summary

Joshua is the Chief Medical Doctor on board the USS Oakland. He is well respected in the medical community as one who is dedicated to the care and well being of others.

Though he has gone to medical school through the academy and gotten his degree he is always studying and looking for ways to fine tune and increase his abilities as a doctor.

Appearance

Joshua wears his reddish brown hair with a little bit of length to it. He often runs his hand through his hair when he is trying to find answers to a medical issue.

His grey blue eyes are expressive, showing his emotions, most of the time the are kind and understanding. Joshua is empathetic with his patients and it shows in his everyday manner.

Personality

Joshua is friendly and outgoing. He believes in good fitness and follows a daily exercise program. Though he has a sweet tooth, he tries to follow a healthy diet for the most part.

Joshua believes in being honest and forthright with his patients and balances the truth with understanding and sympathy. Not only is he their physician but he can also he their confidant, suggesting ways to help them through their struggles.

History

Joshua’s father was a diplomat and his mother a doctor. He spent his childhood on several different worlds, depending where his father was sent to serve.

From a young age, Joshua was always trying to fix others injuries with bandaids and his own cures. He knew that he wanted to follow in his mothers footsteps and becoMe a doctor.

When Joshua was just twelve years old, his parents divorced and Joshua moved with his mother to San Francisco on Earth. He hated that his parents were no longer together and missed his father but as distance often dies, Joshua felt the distance affect his paternal relationship. He tried to keep in contact with his Dad but there always seemed to be a reason it wasn’t a good time to visit.

Joshua went to a gifted school and he graduated early, immediately going to Starfleet Medical School. He studied hard and dig into his classes and wanted to learn everything he could. For his internship, he went to the McCoy Medical Institute and served in the emergency room.

At his graduation, Joshua saw his father for the first time in years. He wasn’t prepared for the sadness that overwhelmed him at the years missed, coupled with shock that his father had his new wife and their two children with him. It didn’t take long for Joshua to realize he had been replaced. He wondered why he was even there.

Joshua didn’t let this revelation bother him, instead he signed up on a starship and started to live the life he wanted, keeping in contact with his mother, who he was very close to. Joshua currently serves as Chief Medical Officer on the USS Oakland.
