The Wakefield crew finds them on the frontier, the unknown barrier known as the Grim Wall. The Klingons on one side and the Federation on the other, with nothing but this natural barrier and Hecate Station in its way. They are the support element of exploring this unknown.
The crew are assigned to provide support to the operational duties of the USS Saturn and travel as their protection into the unknown natural barrier known as Grim Wall. Occasionally the Saturn Division can cross the borders for diplomatic reasons into Klingon space or can be found in different areas. This is where Wakefield needs to shine, provide protection for the large research vessel.
H-MRE investigate the anomalies near the Klingon borders from nebula’s, asteroids, unknown planets or even explore unknown areas at the Grim Wall. USS Saturn is task with long-range exploration and can stay in the field for long periods of time, while the USS Wakefield is task with providing support to the Saturn in their operations in the field.
