USS Babylon (NCC-82254)
These are the voyages of the USS Babylon. Its ongoing mission: to explore ruined worlds; to seek out remnants of life and lost civilizations; to trepidatiously go where the dead have walked before.

USS Babylon is a Grissom-class surveyor assigned to Task Force 17 under the command of Captain Sanjiv Anand. Ostensibly intended for deep space mapping assignments, the Babylon’s primary mission is to follow up on reports of extinct civilizations on the edge of Federation space and determine if further study of these locations would be safe and ethical.
The blue dusk ran between the streets; my love was winged within my mind;
It left to-day and yesterday and thrice a thousand years behind.
To-day was past and dead for me for from to-day my feet had run
Through thrice a thousand years to walk the ways of ancient Babylon.
On temple top and palace roof the burnished gold flung back the rays
Of a red sunset that was dead and lost beyond a million days.
…
Oh, light our life in Babylon, but Babylon has taken wings,
While we are in the calm and proud procession of eternal things.

The sun on Casperia Prime rose early, casting warm golden light through the windows of Traven’s room, the shadows over the mountains would soon disappear. He’d been awake for a few hours now, sleep didn’t come easy, the memories of those left behind were hard to erase and even he struggled [...]

Part One. Momentarily quiet, the Andorian silently wondered what it would have been like to start caving as a fresh faced youth with excitement and adventure. Not quite the start to caving he had, but he didn’t disparage the source of his skills for being a formal training program. As Sanjiv [...]

Aaron took a sip of the yellow and pink drink that was in his left hand. He grimaced a little as it burned going down his throat. He made a mental note to not only alert Jackson later that they didn’t serve synthehol here by default but also made a mental note for himself to keep that in mind. He [...]
