In the past year, the galaxy’s black market has surged as the Orion Syndicate pushes deeper into the trade of stolen experimental technologies, many of them lifted from the Federation. These dangerous devices, capable of reshaping entire worlds or transporting entire ships and cities in an instant, are now being sold to the highest bidder, threatening galactic stability. Among these is the Kairos Regulator, a device of highly classified capabilities believed able to warp local space-time, and slow time itself for its user.

Tasked with preventing its sale, the special operations team of the USS Blackbird are sent to the luxurious moon of Ilior, where a high-end black market auction attended by the galaxy’s most dangerous criminals will soon take place. Making strange bedfellows with the criminal kingpin Torrad-Var and his beautiful but mysterious aide Q’ira to gain entrance, the Rooks must infiltrate the auction, outbid rival factions, and secure the Kairos Regulator at all costs.
