Mira, Lira and Zara all walked onto the bridge of the USS Paso Robles. As they stepped out of the turbolift, they all saw on the main viewer a transport vessel coming into range. Renato noticed their approach. “Youre just in time.” He said with a big grin on his face.
“The mission was a success, later I would like to talk to you about some of Minster T’Kra’s requests, Captain.” Mira said, as she looked over to Renato.
“Of course, Number One.” Renato said, as he looked over to Zara. “I believe they are here for you Lieutenant.” Renato said with a warm smile on his face.
“I believe so, Captain.” Simply said Zara, she was a little nervous. This was the moment her life would change forever. From this point, there would be no going back, and she would have to learn how to cope with the new symbiont.
Mira took a seat, and noticed an incoming hail. “Captain we are being hailed.”
“On Screen.” Renato said, as he waited for the main viewer to come to life. He smiled as he went on to say. “This is Captain Renato Gutierrez of the Federation Starship Paso Robles.” He said, as he waited for the other ship to respond.
“This is Captain Jorala Mir, of the Trill Transport Vessel Vestra. Is Lieutenant Elan with you?” The Trill transport captain asked.
“She is indeed, Captain.” Renato said as he motioned towards Zara, and she walked closer to the main viewer.
“The symbiont Lox is ready to merge with you, please prepare to meet him in you’re sickbay in 5 minutes.” The Trill Captain said in a sterile tone.
“Yes sir.” Zara said, knowing not to challenge the tone of the Trill Consortium. This transport vessel was one of their own.
“Captain Gutierrez, please arrange for my delegation to beam directly to sickbay. I look forward to meeting you there Captain.” The Trill Transport Captain said. Then the call ended.
“Number One you’re with me, Lieutenant Elan you too, lets go meet the Trill greeting party.” Renato said as he walked over to the turbolift doors, and then told Reeve he was in charge till they all returned.

Why didn’t you tell me that Zara was selected to be a host for a symboint?” Lira asked as she looked over to T’Shan.
“Vulcan’s typically do not gossip, Lira.” T’Shan said, as she felt the need to defend her position.
“Maybe they should, she told me on the planet. Here I thought she was getting ready for a date. Not to be joined with a symboint.” Lira pointed out to T’Shan.
Malek walked towards the two ladies. “It is exciting times, indeed ladies.” He said, as he could hear them talking quietly amongst each other.
They looked to him. “Ferengi hearing, I swear you can hear anything in a five light year radius.” Lira pointed out to him.
Malek laughed, she was a comedian. “It’s more like 10 light year radius, but who’s counting.” He said, teasing her back. In reality the distance was more limited than that.
“Can you make out the conversation in sickbay?” Lira asked playfully. She was curious how things were going in sickbay.
“Sadly no.” Marek said back to her. “She’s in good hands.” he said trying to reassure her.
“I know she is, I know. I guess we’ll have to wait for news.” Lira said as a scene starts to fade away.

About thirty minutes later. “Will you stop pacing back and forth.” T’Shan said, as she looked over to Zara who was pacing back and forth.
“Can’t help it, I am anxious.” Lira said with a big grin on her face. She was eagerly waiting to hear how the surgery went.
“I could teach you some vulcan mediation techniques that could help you relax.” T’Shan suggested it to her friend.
“Maybe later on, right now we are suppose to be working!” Lira said, realizing how silly that sounded coming from her, a girl that was goofing off and pacing by the helmsman station. It seemed like the entire bridge crew was, everyone wanted an update.
“Then may I suggest you take your station.” T’Shan said, trying to refocus her friend. Hoping to give her something to redirect her thoughts too.
“Fine, you’re no fun.” Lira said teasingly. She really did not mean it.
“That appears to be the case, indeed.” T’Shan said in a stoic tone.
“I was teasing.” Lira said defensively. She was not being sincere. She was using this as a way to distract her from her concerns regarding Zara.
T’Shan just stared at her, with a calm and collected tone. She too was helping Lira. Like a good friend would do in this situation.
“You’re pulling my leg again, aren’t you?” Lira said, having a hard time believing she fell for T’Shan’s antics yet again.
“Indeed.” T’Shan said, and then looked to her station. Trying to hide the smile on her face.
“How do you keep doing that to me, over and over again.” Lira said, with a big grin on her face.
“It’s truly a universal mystery. One that could destroy the fabric of space if we try to solve.” T’Shan said in a stoic voice, but trying to show off her comedic side.
“Ya ya ya, just rub it in will ya.” Lira said with a big grin on her face. This is exactly what she needed a distraction from the operation going on down in Sickbay.
“It is not my intention to rub anything in, Ensign Chameer.” T’Shan said again in a stoic like tone.
“You’re not fooling me this time, T’Shan” Lira said, with a warm smile on her face.
“We shall see Ensign.” T’Shan simply said, a little gloating but in a stoic style tone to her voice.
“We’re talking in circles, T’Shan.” Lira said, as the scene starts to fade away.
