Location: Overwatch Station, Command Center

Sotti walks on to the Command Deck. He immediately heads over towards Elsie. “You’re bright and early ma’am.” Sotti says with a big smile on her face.

“The early bird gets the worm, or so I’m told.” Elsie said with a big grin on her face. She motioned for Sotti to join her at the operations table.

So what’s on the agenda for today ma’am?” Sotti asked, with a curious look on her face. She started to approach the operations table.

“I have a staff meeting with the Fourth Fleet command, I have a feeling we’re going back to the Talvath System. The Paso Robles reported sighting of the Tal Shair in the area. I’m pretty sure they’re going to tell me to send them over there to deliver more supplies, but in reality I think it’s just a ruse to get us over there to confirm that to Tal Shair are gone.

“Well that sounds like fun ma’am.” Sotti said in a teasing voice. She had a sneaking suspicion that the Commodore was probably correct. From a tactical point of view, she would have made the same recommendations if the Commodore had asked her for her opinion.

Armando Montoya was the next to arrive up at the command center, he had a data pad in his hands and he walked over to the operational table. He saw Sotti and Elsie already starting in a conversation. He decided to listen in.

“You’re just in time I am going to have a meeting here in a little bit with fort Fleet command and I’m pretty sure we’re going have another resupply mission for the Talvath System. I know that commanding intelligence want to make sure that the Tal Shair are gone.”

“It is a little concerning that this far into deep space. Typically you would think that they would operate within their own borders not on the outskirts.” Armando first started to say, and then he continued on. “I have some extra supplies well Medical supplies that we could send them and I could probably scrounge us some additional vegetation type supplies like some seeds and stuff. But I don’t have a transport coming in the next couple days I could request one but the Oakland and the Paso Robles won’t be here for another week.”

“We can’t have him wait that long, is there any way we can request a transport vessel to meet them hopefully one in that area maybe?” LCS said she looked at Armando.

“We could have Starbase Bravo give us some supplies and then reimburse them, if you think your meeting is going to go the way you do I’m pretty sure they’ll give us some supplies to give over to the Talvath System.”

“That’s good thinking, prepare for that option. I am about 90% certain that is going to be our course of action.” Elsie said to Armando.

“Yes ma’am.” Simply replied Armando, make it a mental note to getting contact with the logistics officer over at Starbase Bravo.

Mika Uzo was the next one to walk into the command center, she headed over to the operation table where she saw a few of the other officers already gathered. She had just gotten word from her sister, that she was being assigned to the USS Oakland. This was great news for her because now she’d be able to see her little sister. For the moment though she needed to focus on her duties.

Quincy, Zachariah and Katie all walked on to the bridge next. They all headed towards the main operations table in the command center. Elsie notice their arrivals and she motioned with her hand for them to join her.

Quincy had a data pad in his hand and he was just going over all the duty lots of verify everybody had completed their physicals.

Zachariah offer had a data pad in his hand, and he definitely needed some more support from the counseling department because it seems like this entire division was lacking in counselors. He planned on mentioning to Elsie that he needed a larger staff.

Katie was still concerned about her crew, down on the planet it was nice of Elsie to come down earlier today and talk to her about the change of leadership and not being able to go on missions anymore which was a big change for her, but Elsie was right if she wanted to have her own command someday she would have to learn to delegate those responsibilities to the crew it was part of leadership.

Shortly after them, the rest of the staff had arrived. Darrin Greenwood, Niccorrina Santana, Zalon Joyiru, Elsbeth O’Reilly and Thyhl Sh’zthranth.

Elsie filled everybody in on what she believed the plan was going to be, people offer some input but everybody agreed that they should be ready in case the Tal Shair was in the area, everybody is afraid that they might be trying to poke the bear or at least get some intelligence about Federation deployments and layouts.

More than ever she needed that they needed some new starships or more starships in the area if they were going to protect this area of space from the Romulan Tal Shair.

Elsie smiled has she looked everybody, “everybody has their orders and I expect you guys to be prepared for what comes next.

“Lieutenant Sotti, can you please stay behind the rest of your dismissed.” Elsie asked with a humbling smile on her face.

After the others left Elsie looked over to Sotti. “When you get in contact with Starfleet intelligence, haven’t pulled up their sensor logs. I want to know how close the romulans are to us. The staff brought up some good points and I don’t want us to be unprepared.”

“Yes ma’am, I’ll reach out to Starfleet intelligence as soon as I get back to my office.” Sotti suggested to her, she couldn’t do it any sooner than that because she needed privacy and on a secure line if she was going to talk to intelligence cuz would insist on it.

“Please let Starfleet intelligence know how grateful I will be to them, I have a feeling we’ll probably be sitting up some probes soon.” Elsie said to Sotti.

“Especially with confirmed sightings of them being out here yeah I’m pretty sure they’re going to want probes too ma’am. I have a feeling we’re going to get tasked with that and all we have are some runabouts but hey that could be a fun mission for a bunch of our enlisted crew.” Sotti suggested.

“If that happens it’s going to have to be next week I don’t want to send out too many of our enlisted personnel, this is a small station we don’t have a big compliment of officers or enlisted crewman.” Elsie pointed out to Sotti.

“If it comes up, I’ll let you know ma’am. That way you have advance notice.” Sotti said with a big warm smile on her face.

“I don’t know if I told you this enough but I really appreciate you and the rest of the team. I wasn’t sure it was going to be like walking into a new team but you guys are amazing.” Elsie said as she looked to Sotti.

“That’s very kind of you to say, and I’m glad we could be there for you and if I may be so bold I think you’re pretty awesome as well I believe that’s how the humans would say it.” Sotti asked and, inquired to Elsie to make sure she got the phrase right.

“That is very sweet of you to say, and I appreciate it I really do.” Elsie said as the scene starts to fade away.
