((IKS Slivin))

As the ship pulled up on the scene, the April had the Malem suspended in a tractor beam.

“XO inform the boarding party they can beam over and begin securing the vessel.” Kerak stood and paced for a moment.

“Bamet, hail the April.”

“They’re responding sir.” Bamet put the image of Captain Wong on the small armoured viewport at the front of the B’rel.

“Captain Kerak, I believe we’ve found the bandits that you have been chasing.”

“Apparently so, well done Captain. My boarding party is preparing to beam over now.” Kerak returned to his Captains chair and had a seat.

“You may want them to stand by, we are clearing the crew by beaming them over and securing them as prisoners.” Wong nodded as one of his staff and asked him something.

“Well, where’s the fun in that, my good Captain?” Kerak chuckled.

“Live prisoners usually give up more information then dead ones.”

“Captain Wong, these are rogue Tal Shiar we are chasing, they know that axiom just as well as you do, speed it of the essence if we are to dis-arm whatever self destruction systems they’re undoubtedly activated.”

Just then beeping was heard from sensor consoles on both bridges, and someone on the April bridge was overhead saying ‘they’re calling for a medical team in the transporter room sir.’

“It appears you may be right Captain, excuse me.” Wong closed the channel.

“Has the boarding party beamed over yet?”

“The first 3 man party had just beamed to the bridge sir. Second team is preparing.” Mereg replied.

Bamet shouted “Uncle, the ships warp core is overloading, she’s going to blow!”

“Cancel the transport! Beam our team back! Move us away, maximum impulse power!” Kerak hollered.

4 seconds later the Malems warp core did breach, and the vessel exploded. The Klingon transporter chief was able to cancel the transport of the second 3 man boarding team, but sadly was unable to beam back the original threesome.

“GacH Gech yah’tck gorzhh” Bamet muttered to herself, lamenting her lack of forethought and not questioning the Captains orders sooner.

((Meanwhile on the April))

Jenkins at the science console had noticed the rising power levels from the Romulan warp core about 1.5 seconds sooner then Bamet had on the Slivin.

“Her warp cores overloading sir!” the young man said.

“Lasage, get us out of her warp 1, punch it. Drop the tractor Ingram.” Wong said as the deft helmsman was already one step ahead of him

The ship then exploded and they only, on the April only felt a brief shudder as Lasage had quickly selected an open vector and engaged the warp drives. The Carlagian Cruiser suffered minor damage as she was slower then both the April and the Slivin and unable to move away as quicky but it wasn’t serious and they were able to safely return to their home planet for repairs, or so the CO had informed them.

The first 6 of the Romulans who had been beamed over to the April were caught by suprise, but still 2 of them were able to throw suicide capsules into their mouths before the security specialists from Fields team had had a chance to restrain them.

The next 6 Romulan beamed over had already realized what was happening and had all beam able to swallow their suicide pills in time. All 8 who had taken the caps were quite unrevocably dead before the medical team even arrived. This leftl them with 4 live, and quite despondent prisoners, that would not be very forthcoming with any information any time soon but it was still a small comfort that atleast these four would be brought to justice for their crimes. The wreckage of the ship itself didn’t reveal any information, and within a few hours the 6 vessels that had formed the aggravated grid had broken apart and returned to their own duties.
