One of the newest Shran class escorts deployed on active duty. She was originally constructed at Starbase Bravo’s shipyard. She was the 4th ship of her class laid down but was the 7th to be launched due to delays caused by the Vaadwaur Incursion. She is named after Admiral Robert M April, who commanded the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 for her first 5 year mission.
She is currently assigned as one of the primary crisis intervention vessels of TF72. Along with a permanently assigned diplomat who conveniently doubles as a JAG liason, the vessel is also augmented by an 8 person ‘In Extremis Team’ that specializes in intelligence gethering, hostage rescue and other direct action operations.
