Meila came rushing in, she knelt by the Ensign and ran her scans while Lacroix and Rea were talking. This was weird, none of the standard thought wave patterns were there, but his standard life signs were fine.
“Delta waves are fluctuating, Gamma wave is gone. Someone scrambled him like an Egg.” Meila said outloud. Realizing what she had said she blushed. The Nurse looked over with wide eyes. “Take him to sickbay, we will run more tests there.”
Meila walked over to the Counselor, who was thankfully out ear shot, and the First Officer.
“Scrambled Eggs? Did you eat breakfast this morning Meila?” Sylvain asked.
“Neither here nor there, how you holding up Kas?” Meila placed her hand on the shoulder of the Ensign.
“It comes with the teal right? I mean personally never had anyone die on me before, but…”
“He is not dead, he is a husk, his brainwaves were negated.” Meila said.
“It would explain what I saw.” Rea admitted.
“What did you see?” Sylvain asked.
“Fear.” Kas said coldly.
“Of what?” Meila asked.
“Not Sure.” Kas couldn’t isolate it. “He knew what he had saw, and as he was describing it, he blanked.”
“Did any images come through?” Meila asked.
“It wasn’t Vaadduar thats for sure. It was a Spacesuit, of somesort, something I have never seen, made of a iridescent red metal.” Kas paused. “He said something… they were after someone.”
“That corresponds with my findings, there is no sign of Dr. Tiern still.” Sylvain said brushing his hair back.
“But why her?” Meila questioned.
“Political?” Kas questioned.
“Hmm?” Sylvain looked over.
“She was destined for Dreon, an outreach of Federation Colonies, maybe it was a ‘stay away’ message?” Kas theorized.
“Pretty Dramatic Stay Away Message or Warning if you ask me. There are only two races we know that have the telepathy prowess to do this, and three that know how to do this technologically.” Meila said.
“It wasn’t technological, if it was, I would of felt some sort of signature left behind. Like a Borg imprint.” Kas intervened.
“Okay, so than it is Romulan or Reman.” Meila said point blank.
“This isn’t going to be fun is it?” Sylvain asked.
